Archery Hunts
Archery
season starts Sept 1 for whitetail, mule deer, and antelope in northeast Wyoming.
This is what we've been preparing for all year. We've been out scouting and locating
prime stand locations since turkey season and we can't wait to get started. We hunt
white tail deer primarily from stands. We have 2-man ladder stands and hang-on stands
where the terrain requires it. We have both permanent and portable ground blinds.
For mule deer, we hunt both stands and spot and stalk depending on how the deer
are reacting. We hunt antelope either in a blind by water holes or spot/stalk/decoy/call.
Antelope start their rut in
September
and quite often they can be decoyed in quite close. We also can provide archery
turkey hunts in Spring. September can either be very warm or quite chilly so be
prepared for both. The days are very long in September, so we do offer a deer/antelope
archery combination. We hunt deer in the morning and evening and work on antelope
during the hottest part of the day. Crossbows are legal for everyone during our
archery season.
Our hunters have a good chance at a Pope & Young deer
and an excellent chance at a Pope and Young antelope.
